Get Charged Up: Kia Offers Free Fast Charge Adapters for EV Buyers

Kia Offers Free Fast Charge Adapters

Are you considering going electric? If so, Outten Kia in Hamburg, PA, has some exciting news to share. Kia is committed to making EV charging easier than ever, and recent buyers of the 2024 Kia EV6 or the all-new 2024 and 2025 Kia EV9 are eligible to receive a free NACS fast charge adapter. With this adapter, Kia offers free fast charge adapters that allow drivers to connect with a vast network of chargers across the United States, enhancing convenience for electric vehicle (EV) owners.

How Kia’s Free Fast Charge Adapters Benefit EV Drivers

Kia’s initiative to provide NACS (North American Charging Standard) adapters for its EV models opens up access to over 16,500 fast chargers nationwide, giving drivers ample options to recharge. These adapters will make EV travel more accessible by providing EV6 and EV9 owners with a quick connection to the growing NACS DC fast charger network, set to launch in January 2025. That means more flexibility and convenience for drivers planning long trips, daily commutes, and everything in between.

How to Get Your Free Kia EV Charger Adapter

To qualify for Kia’s free NACS adapter, customers simply need to purchase a qualifying 2024 or 2025 Kia EV6 or Kia EV9 after September 4, 2024. For eligible buyers, the adapters are expected to arrive by early 2025, giving them plenty of time to prepare for the expanded charging access set to go live. For owners who bought an EV6 or EV9 before this date, Kia plans to make these adapters available for purchase at authorized dealerships, including Outten Kia.

More Charging Flexibility with Kia

These new NACS adapters are designed to work with Kia’s wide range of chargers, so you’re covered whether you’re on a road trip or just running errands. Three different adapters will soon be available: NACS to CCS1, CCS1 to NACS, and J1772 to NACS. Each adapter brings its own benefits, like allowing Kia EV drivers to use both DC fast chargers and standard Level 2 charging stations across the country.
