What do you know about the Kia Soul and Kia Sportage? When you ask someone that question, they may talk about the affordable price, spacious interior, or easy handling that they both have. What they may not know is just how safe each of these vehicles are. Both the Kia Soul and Kia Sportage are very safe vehicles to drive.
You don’t have to just take our word for it either. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, IIHS, has awarded both the Soul and the Sportage its highest possible rating, the Top Safety Pick Plus (TSP+). This is a highly coveted ranking, and it is only awarded to those vehicles that excel in safety. This shows that the Soul and Sportage have much more to offer than their style and affordability.
In order for the 2018 Soul to be considered TSP+, it must be equipped with high-intensity discharge, also known as HID, headlights. Also, in addition to passing a variety of vigorous safety tests, the 2018 Sportage must have been built after June 2017 and also have acceptable-rated HID headlights. These HID headlights helped to give these vehicles a leg up on the competition, creating icnreased visibility and awareness for drivers at night.
When customers hear about the safety of these vehicles, they may be more motivated to take one off of the lot. But, don’t worry, you don’t have to limit yourself to just the Sportage and Soul for a safe drive. Four other Kia vehicles, the Forte, Optima, Cadenza and Sorento have all also received the TSP+. If you want a safe, reliable, and fun vehicle, check out Kia. The automaker has proved time and time again that the safety of customers and their families is a number one priority.
